Student Blogging Challenge

to our Tea Party!  As part of our non-fiction unit, we are studying about The American Revolution and the role Benedict Arnold played in our country’s history.  We recently hosted a tea party so students could play one of the many important character roles in Steve Sheinkin’s novel, The Notorious Benedict Arnold. They introduced themselves to other characters in the book, taking important notes about each other over tea.

Time to reflect on last year and set some new goals…

“Your favorite holiday must be Easter!”
Is what they all say to me
I may be a bunny
But Christmas is my hunny
The white Christmas lights
Shine so bright
I often get in trouble when I nibble on the tree
I look at my owner and say “how can you be mad at me?”
She gives me presents on Christmas day
My favorite one being hay
I get to hop in the fluffy white snow
While my owners smile glows

flies in from up top,

hides in your kitchen,

or maybe your bedroom.

He outsmarts you all,

with his tricks and twists,

and what ever you do,

don’t touch his little toes.

Christmas is the best.

OH look at that birds nest!!

I cant wait until Christmas and all it’s fests.

Anyone who doesn’t like Christmas is honestly a pest.

Stockings forestalling

the sight of the presents

Your eyes will be calling

look out the window

snow on the ground

But the best part of christmas

is the holiday song sound…

and the sight of the wreaths

The Brave Whale

I am a whale! I’m really blue.

Swimming around is what I do!

Currents take me places to be.

New areas to go. New places to see!

I love exploring. It never ends.

It’s so fun I’d give it a 10!

Sometimes it looks like my ocean is fading.

Maybe it even needs some saving.

It makes fish like me turn sick.

It makes us throw up. Eww ick!

You know what! I’m through!

Saving the ocean is what I’m gonna do!
